SO!!!
I've been working for almost a week now, started since last thurs at the science centre. thats why i havent been updating this blog regularly. So if you all still dont know, im working now at the science centre as someone who gives talks and presentations to pri sch kiddos at the ECOGARDEN of the science centre. LOL. man. better stop before i go on to type my speech out.
So work has been great so far, even though e pay is just a meagre $5/hr, but what i do was TOTALLY worth the money. Why? Coz effectively, i only work 4hrs max daily technically, while e other 4 hrs are meant for slacking, talking cok, and waiting for time to reach 1730 so that we can punch card and go home. LOL. on top of that, not everyday's 4 hrs of work. on some days w not that many bookings, i only have to work an hour, before i wait for 1730 to punch card again. LOL. and the best part is there's a pool table in e 'pantry' to kill time! :D :D if ur tired, u can always sleep on the damn-comfy bean bags. MAN! i must get one of those for myself. hahaha! i tell you, the bean bags are DAMN comfortable. E moment u sit into one, you wont want to stand up anymore. haha.
So today's work was one of the busiest day that i've ever encountered. did something pretty meaningful today as well. Talked to a group from the something something deaf association one. apparantly some of them can't hear, some can hear barely with a hearing aid. so talking was to them was kinda -.-, not coz i dont like it, but i dont know if they can hear me or not. but theres a translator nearby who does all e sign languages, and she's a PRO AT IT. i only noe the international friendship sign. haha. But i find it quite an experience to talk to these pple, coz you dont get to do smthing that meaningful everyday or in any jobs rite? moreover its kinda sad and i was kinda sad for them coz they're pretty old, maybe even older den me, but apparantly only having the intelligence of a pri school child, as what my supervisor told me. damn sad lah. but have to talk as normal to them, just that i have to slow down and explain and use more pointings etc. (not e _|_ point) haha
so tml's e 6th day of work i suppose, and its gonna be a not so busy day again. coz today's the mayhem of all days. LoLx. i think i spoke to over 500 students and handling those kids are not easy man.
lolx. so after nxt fri, i'll be officially jobless again once the event ends =( have to start hunting for new jobs already..as what im doing right now..hehe..in the midst of my sci centre job...........
